Great sceenic route, many curves. Road is good and the nature is great!
Great sceenic route in mountains, fresh new tarmac with lots of curves. Usually no cops but not always. In Sjenica there is an option to visit national par Uvac.
Sceenic route from Belgrade to mountain Kosmaj. Drives trough Ralja and Sopot. Good road, many curves, may be crowded during weekend. Many resturants by the road and good food to eat.
It was my first time to be there on 2017 summer time, while having a complete 15 days route around Balcans and this part is the most impressed me, specially the road following the Neretva river, as well as the man made tunnels... once you leave Bosnia Herzegovina, you feel to be droppen to heaven, all around the most beautiful green mountain roads, lasting until Uzice.
I might not able to express my exact exitement about this route but belive me you will understand if you will have a chance to ride around... cheers
Sofia - Trun - Vlasinsko ezero - Surdulitza
Combination of long straits and lot of curves with magnificent nature. Must try.
Amazing rural sightseeing.
Short cityscape from Belgrade.
This is an interesting possibility to start from the town Nis to Crvena Reka driving along the Nisava river gorge and make the return through the mountain crest beside the gorge. It is also worth to drive the short way from the road 427 to the Jelasnica Klisura (gorge)
This road is a good south-north cross section of southern Serbia. The route passes a nice variety of sceneries and small rural villages. The road itself is interesting to drive and make stops in villages and other nice places.
This is really a Serbian Alpine Road, leading over a mountain complex and throug Kopaonik Nature Reservate. The scenery around you is unbelieveable nice. From the top of Kopaonik you can see tens of kilometers to the horisont. The road itself is interesting and a little bit challenging to ride.
A very nice mountainous road with an excellent road profile. Drive up or drive down, good in both directions.
A slightly mountainous rural route through a real Serbian landscape and through rural villages full of real life. Very nice landscape and wievs far to the surrounding mountain slopes.
A various road through the Tara National Park, ending to the road going along the Drina river canyon. This canyon road is nice to drive to the town Loznica.
Breathtaking scenery, challeging road. Road surface is mostly good, but in some sections something else.
Nice road in the canyon of the Ibar river. Steep slopes beside the road. Due to this occasional down dropped cobbles on the road. Quite heavy traffic and quite active police, so choose your time right to ride this road. But its worth to do!
In this part of the Danube is a natural border between Serbia and Romania, so that the road runs through both countries. The Danube is the widest of Golubac a few kilometers away is the deepest in Europe
Another chicken strips fixer, lots of corners great asphalt and visibility, low traffic, mountain canyon with nice views.
Took in this route as part of a bike tour through Eastern Europe.
We filled a van with three Gsxr 1000s and drove to Salzburg in Austria where we left the van for three weeks at a hotel.
From there we headed through Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Romania to the Black sea via Transfagaras. Then into Bulgaria along the coast before heading back inland towards Sofia and back into Serbia. As you head West to wards Visegrad in Bosnia, the roads open up and the terrain is mountainous with fantastic scenery around every corner. This is probably the best route Ive ridden, it has distance (approx 100 miles of rolling roads) and the road surface is fine with little traffic and inoffensive police patrols from time to time.
Make sure you stop in Visegrad for lunch by the the river Drina and the famous bridge (google ridge over the Drina)
The descent into Sarajevo is just as fantastic, passing through small villages en route. Sarajevo is a great mix of history and culture and worth stopping for two or three days to really take it all in.
When you leave, to the west, the terrain starts to flatten and you can stop at Mostar to see another classic bridge!
Dubrovnik in Croatia is the next stop. Head north from here, keep to the ocean road, it gets better the further North you get!
