My favorite ride in the area. Just follow the ottertrail scenic highway signs.
We rode with Jolene and Scott Swang. Trip was awesome with great weather. Beautiful country. We saw the sun dial at Mystical Horizons. Then Pennema Gorge in Walhala. Metigoshe was beautiful. Would definitely like to go back there. Went to Cabelas and the nd stayed in Grand Forks and ate at Texas Roadhouse. Was raining in the morning so we waited then ran back to Harvey. Saw Audrey then Scott rode to Bismarck with us. We ate at Applebee's and then hung out for the night. Monday we went to sams club then rode home in the rain. Quite a bit of rain, picked up Sophie then came home. Great weekend.
Ride through some of the most scenic landscape in ND
130 miles in beautiful Minnesota. You will start at The Village Sports Bar and end back at the Village Sports Bar.
SW TC: EP, Chacka, Carver, Hendersn, StPeter, NMankato, New Ulm
Stillwater to Pepin was the highlight! Much scenery and the road are quite twisted!
Rochester-Prairie Du Chien (short loop)
Mix of straights and twisties. Beautiful scenery.
Really nice scenery with some nice twisters mixed in.
The best stretch was on County Rd 15 between Watertown and Lake Minnetonka. Very picturesque!
One of my favorite rides in the area. The route is in a river valley with the river viewable several times. There are trees on both sides of the road for a lot of the route. About half way through the route is the historical Harkin Store, a state historical site. You will usually meet other bikers riding this road. The only real hazard is wildlife occasionally, mainly deer, especially towards dusk. Fort Ridgely at the end of the ride, is a state park (need park sticker to enter) and state historical site. It was the site of several battles during the Dakota War of the summer of 1862. For an alternate return ride, take Hwy 4 to the top of the hill then right on Cty Road 5, also known as the Fort Road. Someone has already entered that route on the site. Another nice motorcycle road although not as scenic in my opinion. Once you get to the state park, take the right fork. The left fork is tempting but the pavement ends in about a mile then the road turns to gravel.
My favorite ride in the area. Popular motorcycle ride for the locals. It's part of a scenic by-way. Don't let "minimum maintenance road" scare you. It's a nicely paved road. Lots of beautiful scenery, canopied trees, curves, rolling hills, etc. The speed limit is 35-45 for a lot of the ride so it's not for a fast ride on a crotch-rocket. This is for a nice, leisurely ride.
