Some of North Wales best lakes rolled into one days riding.
lovely ride out even in the wind, some very exposed areas to watch out for when it is windy especial on the top of the moors, but really breath taking scenery. gets you out for the afternoon
The best scenery in wales!!
Great scenery and good corners.
Nice ride
If you want to learn to corner or scrub in some tyres then this is the route for you! A great little route with some amazing corners that will challenge both beginners and seasoned riders, I do this route in the summer evenings where the roads are very quiet although a police presence is seen on the main roads, This is an amazing route which you will find yourself doing again and again!
This ride starts on the relatively easy A5 north, it cuts off at Knockin and passes though the Bala.
The B4397 is spectacular and falls into Balla. Stop at the lake side cafe and head south.
This route then cuts into Snowdonia following a single lane pass - if you thought the views where good prior to this just wait.
This pass can be accessed by all bikes but adventure bikes are recommeded as there are a LOT of sheep and a LOT of gravel.
Mixed run with some good twisty bits but a lot of average cameras in places and traffic
Quiet, sweeping roads from Bala through to Llangollen, followed by fairly fast open corners between Ellesmere and Shrewsbury.
A nice run with a mix of open roads fastest corners as well as some more technical sections
Went on a dry Sunday, taking this road with some friends on the way from Shrewsbury to Barmouth, and back. As you exit Bala the roads are sweeping and quick, and then there is a wide hairpin that goes over the river which feeds lake Tryweryn. When going over this particular bend you can get the knee down with ease, but as the trees open up you are susceptible to a few gusts of wind, so I wouldn't hoon it through this bend at all.
Turning right onto the B-road you find some utterly spectacular scenery. The rugged mountains in the background loom over like an evil villain's lair, and some decently twisty roads keep you entertained. Watch out for sheep around here.
As you get closer to Ffestiniog you pass over a small creek and a lonesome house, and after this there is a cattle grid, and then it slows down A LOT. The road is narrower and visibility is decreased as you get lower into the valley. Also no road markings, so you must keep your wits about you.
The road then junctions onto the A470, which leads you into the quaint little village of Ffestiniog, and there is a pub at the end of this route for you to stop at. They seem friendly enough there, they let us use their toilets.
Ynys mon ( Anglesey )
This road from/to Aberystwyth is just beautiful and the run up through Bala into snowdonia is just wonderful
Not done these roads yet, planning to do it in the summer.
Across the moors - nice
Short mixed route with some good twisty bits and scenery
National park - great scenery
Sunday run
Short run after work
B Road cross country run with a great brekkie at the end
A circular tour of some of North Wales' best motorcycling roads.
Spectacular scenery, good road surface and excellent corners.
Significant police presence on busier roads (A5, A5104, A525, A594) particularly at weekends and Bank Holidays.
Start in Bangor for Breakfast stop in bewts y coed for a drink then lunch at The Aofon Conwy for lynch
