As I work in the Middletown area I learned of many of the roads on this route during lunch and after work rides. A mixture of farm land, shady wooded areas, and water views. Route 148 is spectacular with nice curves and elevation changes. Beware the speed limit is very low in some area (25mph in some). Devils Hopyard offers a nice stretching point to check out the waterfalls. I chose to finish in the glastonbury area as I live in Wethersfield just across the river and Glastonbury has many choices for a bite before splitting off from friends. Have fun and be safe!
