South loop from Spring Green, WI down to Don Quinn, then back roads.
Route starts in Spring Green, WI. First leg (92 miles) is to Mt. Horeb (approx. 3 hrs.). Second leg (76 miles) is to Dogerville (approx. 2 1/2 hours). Third leg (73 miles) is back to Spring Green (approx. 2 hours). You will be ready for a rest after all the turns. Great scenery, very little traffic, good roads.
Great day ride
Nice day trip from Billings locals like to go to lunch in Red Lodge.
The most spectacular Hiway in America.......
Red Lodge is where you can add 120 miles and about 4 hours by going up the Beartooth Hiway to Cooke City and back which makes this a fun 10 hour day.If you do that, you would want to take HWY 296, the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway through Sunlight Basin on the return, which would bypass Red Lodge. Make sure you fill up your gas tank in Cooke City.
Long Sunday type drive. 250 Miles. Both rural and small towns. No freeways.
Nice run through a couple of passes with a mix of straight roads but also some very cool twisties. Nice to plan a stay in Cortez and do a few of the loops out that way such as 4 corners, Moab Utah etc.
Hwy 101 thru Washington, Oregon and into Northern California. Hwy 199 through to Grants Pass Oregon and then up through Oregon wine country. A little I-5 with a detour around Seattle and then home. A total of 5 days and 1,481 miles... now that's a bike trip.
12 miles of dirt road to Buelah just past Bishops Castle
Covers about 5 counties west of Houston. All day ride.
Going south gravel, going north paved. An interesting bridge.
nice back roads route from the American Legion Post to Quantico National Cemetery and then back the shorter way to the Legion.
Beautiful road via the Jubilee Pass through Death Valley
This route will take you on seldom-traveled roads and makes a great, long, day trip the first day Denver - Deckers - Cripple Creek - Canon City, Bishop's Castle, Trinidad. Second day is Trinidad - Cimarron, Angel Fire, Taos, Chamayo, Santa Fe. Third day is fast two-lane back to Denver from Santa Fe via US 285.
F-32 is the norther road along the Au Sable River east of Mio. The western quarter has some residential sections but the eastern three quarters is undeveloped forest with very little traffic. The sweepers are good.
Nice twisty road close to Dallas Fort Worth that you can get to early enough to stay out of the heat.
100% paved roads
3500 Km total, 315 Km
average per day

One of the best curvy roads in Missouri. From nowhere to nowhere.
This is a great ride. Along the way are Civil War era battlefields and markers to observe. Farmland, hills and small towns.
Created this loop and rode it. Spectacular views of hills, valley, creeks through rural tennessee and alabama. 211 miles. took 5 hrs. Great ride
Enjoy, its a fun route. You are on Interstate 80 through Delaware Water Gap for a short distance before you catch CR 517 for more rural riding, but if time is an issue its a quick way to get back home.
Great Mountain Road. Snow in winter.
this and 144 make a spectacular route, if it was the only road I could ride I would still be happy!
100 mile ride in SE Wisconsin from I-94 west, around Lake Muskego.
Great ride to all of the Bourbon Distilleries in the area using all back roads.
Many tight bends, few straights, rolling farmland, good visiblity, all paved surface with no police.
I've ridden the first and last quarters of this 300 mile loop. Some of the 3rd quarter came from recommendations from this web site. Route 125 north of Pine Grove to Shamokin is a ton of fun. Up and down and around over three mountain ridges. Coming south from Hartleton to Liverpool on route 235 'should' also be fun since it crosses the same three mountain ridges but further west. Some of the scenery is very nice. Some of it through Pa's 'coal country' is interesting but hardly scenic.
Really nice short ride around the Uwharries.
This ride out to Mt St Helens and back - either for northbound or southbound riders on Highway 5 - is very scenic and a great road, practicallly *made* for motorcycles. Nice long curving corners, nothing surprises you. A gorgeous ride, and beautiful views of Mt St Helens when you get to the end. Go all the way up to the visitor center and go in and watch the movie/see the exhibits. Incredible place - the volcano is amazing!
Nice souther look into GA from Murphy, NC area. Really liked this run and offers some interseting curves at some of the areas.
A nice return ride to Wrentham, MA from Mystic Pizza in Mystic, CT.
Nice Sunday ride
North central Illinois has few twisty roads, but this rout is about as good as it gets for this area. At the moment the very first leg has to be detoured for construction, but the rest is good roads.
Towards the end before Starved Rock State Park is 4 miles of some great twisties, some very tight curves in a wooded area.
Illinois, 11 curves in 318 miles, sigh!!!!
This route takes you from the south of Yosemite up to Glacier Point and then into Yosemite Park past El Capitan and the half Dome before climbing through the Sierra Nevada to Lake Vining and up to Bridport. A ride with spectacular views and many corners. A good days riding with quite a few challenges.

Oakland Loop
Leave Ogdensburgh on Hwy 11 to watertown and return to Ogdensburgh on Hwy 37. A great day trip to the Mall in watertown or the bike shop
Great one day 2 lane tour out of Orlando that encompasses a national forest plus the seashore. Amazing relatively light traffic roads for the area.
We rode this on 2/21/08 and needed rainsuits for a good part of the day and had a blast. Left at 8 AM , had a nice lunch in Deland and got back to Kissimee timeshare at 6 PM.
Very nice 2 lane one-day ride through forest, farmland, then uo A1A coastal. We rode this 02/20/08 and the sun was shining at 70 degrees,
Had a great lunch on the shore at the Tiki Hut in the Fort Pierce marina. Coffe and local chat on the beach at the intersection in Melbourne. Left at 8 AM and back to Kissimmee timeshare by 5 PM.
Overnight scenic ride from the Portland Metro area out into the Painted Hills. Camping off of HWY 27. Many curvy sections, limited truck traffic when we did it on 5/27/2014. Make sure you check the waypoint positions in the GPX file, it is difficult to keep the GPS tracking on the correct routes and Google seems to dislike most NF roads. Note: NF Forest roads arent open all year.
High number of sport bikes on week ends.
this is the loop version of my similar route- their are also many off side rides that are great (like road to Hurricane Ridge in the National Park from Port Angeles) This loop is a nice 3/4 day ride with time for stops at look outs and chow.
(my prior post starts in the wayer- oops, this one starts at the end of a spit- very nice little ride with Straight on one side, harbor on the other, no men in blue
Very nice coastal run up to the tip of the Olympic Peninsula. Curvy road mostly in the forest, be careful if roads are wet - there is moss growing on the roads near the end of the route.
When you get to the end, you definitely want to hike out the Cape Flattery Trail out to the lands end where there are amazing views of sea caves, the island, birds, seals, etc. Gorgeous area and a nice hike through dense, lush rainforest. Dont miss it!
Very nice ride aroung the DFW area...
lots of twistys, sweepers, air museums, auto museum, snow, rain, hail, minimal traffic in twistys. Inexpensive lodging. Something for everyone. 3217mi or 5177km.
Rural Road with lots of driveways and blind corners. Watch for dirt in road. Fun road that I used mostly to avoid the freeway.
Fun couple of hours ride around lake Wateree starting in Lugoff and endin in Lugoff
A good Sunday ride. Short but very pleasing to ride. Because it is open and flat seems like it takes a longer to ride than it does.
Nice Restaurant in Stoneham Me. called AJ's Everything.
I have ridden this route a few times. It can take anywhere from 3.5 to 5.5 hours depending on your pace, stops for food, and nature calls. It goes from Baltimore County to Wrightsville PA and back down to Northern Baltimore County. This is part one of two. The second will be posted shortly.
One of hundreds of ways to get from Pine Bluff, WI to Leland, WI for the Slimey Crud Run (www.slimeycrudrun.com). Not very direct, but that's the point.
prairie to plain to black hills, to plains to mountains back to prairie. You dont need a Harley to go to Sturgis and ride the black Hills. From Little Big Horn to Devils Tower to Sturgis, Mt. Roosevelt, Crazy Horse, Cody Museum, Beartooth Pass: has it all. Definitely a bucket list tour no matter which direction you come from. 2492 mi or 4392km [300 in black hills]
Fun Roads Around Memphis Surrounding areas
Starts in Sanford Me.Ends at Lone Oak Ice Cream Rochester NH
Lots of corners, through desert and pines on a mostly good surface. Watch out for rocks and critters! :-)

If you nave not been to the Rock Store your missing out. It is a true destination nestled in some beautiful canyon roads. There are always 200-300 bikes parked in front and if you get there early on Friday, you are sure to see a celeb or two. Bring your camera on this on and plan to stop several time as the views keep changing from ocean views while riding down a mountain canyon road to scenic valleys. If your in this area, you cannot go wrong with this ride.
Fun Route
Yak to Coeur de lane to Orofino to Lewiston to Rattlesnake canyon to Baker City to Heppner to Pendleton to Davenport to Tiger. A lot of new pavement with little traffic or police presence. Challenging variable speed corners, lots of exercise. Fantastic ride.
from western plains to Little Big Horn, Devils tower, Sturgis, Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Bighorn Pass, Cody Western Museum, Beartooth Pass, sort of covers it all. Fantastic trip, bit of everything. Great roads, few smokeys, wild weather.
East half of road is in WV. Includes very tight corners, steep hills, somewhat rough pavement. Second half is in Ohio with smooth road slightly more open, great vistas and good road character. Minimal services along route, so have fuel.
Nice, leisurely cruise through some small CT towns on non-congested roads, ending at Mystic Pizza in Mystic CT. At about the halfway point is a popular motorcycle stopping point, the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret CT. And believe it or not Mystic Pizza actually has really good pizza!
Beautiful ride around Yosemite Valley - circular route from Big Oak Flat Road. The scenery is breathtaking, you wouldn't want to go fast for fear of missing a great sight or some wildlife. There's a great stop for food and drink at the visitor centre too. I recorded a video of this ride - it's at https://youtu.be/6YZ2rBvPVa0 If you get the chance to ride/drive this route, do it - you won't regret it.
