One of my favorite stretches of road. If you want to run at a brisk pace ( why wouldnt you? ) choose a weekday. Visibility on corners , or lack thereof, keeps it from being racetrack quality as an RV taking half your lane on a blind corner WILL ruin your day if you dont ride with a safety margin.
Some quite technical switchbacks and DR turns through great scenery, have fun but be careful
So caught up in the ride, never took picture til I stopped for a leak on some flat before Stanley. Awesome ride. Left Boise, went up through Idaho City to Stanley then to Chalis and up through Salmon, Over to Wisdom on 43 and followed the Wise Rver to 15
