This is a nice balanced road with great uphill and downhill curvy components. A stretch of parallel river views, followed by a curvy uphill route, then a downhill windy road. This is followed by a relatively plain ride for a few miles. At the junction of Dunlap-Signal mountain road, there are several great pizza places and stations to refuel. You can visit the Veterans Memorial park as well. Road then continues to Signal Mountain and is a treat for uphill curves with great views of the valley to your right going up. This leads you back to the Chattanooga area for more fun things to do.

An excellent detour off the beaten path of the main Hwy. 8 route. (An alternate way up the mountain that connects back in to the main route.)
